In 2013, Chef Michael joined Winegardner & Hammons Hotel Group as Executive Chef for Ohio University Inn and Conference Center where he quickly became an indispensable asset to the property, lending his creative palate to menu design of their six-course wine dinner. In May 2016, he was named Corporate Executive Chef for Winegardner & Hammons Hotel Group where he continued to delight guests with his refined and contemporary cuisine.
Spring, 2020, he will open The Lytle Park Hotel, an Autograph Collection property, marrying his Marriott International experience with that of his independent restaurant spirit, to oversee catering operations and manage two standalone venues: fine-dining Italian restaurant Subito and Vista at Lytle Park. In addition, Chef Michael has provided culinary expertise as a volunteer chef for Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Carnegie, and 30 Mile Meal. Chef Michael believes the most flavorful cuisine is made with the highest quality ingredients and on any given day, he can be found in the kitchen perfecting scratch-made dishes, such as fresh, hand-made pasta, osso buco, or hand-cutting Peidemontese steaks.
